Sometimes the water is calm and sometimes it is overwhelming
My heart and prayers go out to all the fire victims. I lost my home in a fire storm in 1992 and I know first hand that fire creates its own path, its own weather, its own voice and it leaves devastation and grief in its wake. Fire does not discriminate; it doesn’t care if you are rich or poor, young or old. Losing a home, cherished memories, or even loved ones to a fire brings a profound and unpredictable grief. The aftermath can feel like an endless tide of emotions—shock, sorrow, anger and even moments of hope as rebuilding begins. Just like the ocean’s waves, some days might bring calm reflection, while others feel like an insurmountable surge of loss. Learning to swim finding strength in community, accepting help, and taking steps—no matter how small—toward healing and recovery.Rain Silverhawk
